Two people living in the same city that had no idea the other even existed. One having ambitions to be to be a CrossFit missionary over seas in Africa, and the other prepping for their first CrossFit sanctional in Miami, FL. The way they met was your classic friend sets up another friend. On Rachel's birthday November 29th, 2018 their training partner sent them a sweet happy birthday text with a link to Cameron's instagram page asking how cute they thought this person was. Clicking on the instagram link and doing a thorough scroll through, they thought whoever this Cameron person was was super cute, 11 out of 10. Rachel's friend told them to go for it and slide into the DMs. The next day Cameron posted an instagram story of one of Rachel's favorite bible verses. Galatians 5:1 "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free stand firm then and do not let yourself be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Rachel knew there was something different about this one. After sliding into Cameron's DMs they started talking, Rachel knowing what they wanted immediately asked for Cameron's phone number and set a day to go on a real date. December 3rd, 2018 at one of Cameron's favorite pizza spots. The rest is history. Cameron and Rachel immediately hit it off. Spending time together was easy. With many things in common, like their (mostly Rachel's) love for suffering through CrossFit workouts. Making time to get to know each other was simple. Feeling the strong presence of Christ in Cameron's heart, Rachel knew God was leading the way. Cameron made it was easy to be real, vulnerable, and fall in love. Rachel knew Cameron could be the one. Cameron was what Rachel needed. They work hard to make each other better, bring the best out of each other, but also support each other when times aren't so easy. Standing firm in the truth of God's word. Letting God be the center of their lives. God was able to bring two people together for the furthering of His kingdom. It was God that put Cameron into Rachel's life and Rachel into Cameron's. What God has put together no earthly thing can tear apart.

Currently, the happy couple lives in St. Louis, MO as Rachel attends Logan University chiropractic school. Cameron is happily (maybe because it's cold) along for the ride for the next 4 years.

It was the perfect day planned. Cameron got down on one knee (sat down) along a mountain top in Boone, NC. Boone, NC holds a special place in Rachel's heart, Cameron, knowing that this would be the best place to ask Rachel to marry him. With much laughter and some tears, Rachel yelled "YES".
