After a few dates getting to know each other (E.J.'s love for wine, cheese, and fine dining, and Camila's love for "real" food, traveling, and Justin Bieber), E.J. finally works up the courage to ask Camila to be his girlfriend. With a bottle of veuve clicquot in hand, E.J. nervously asks Camila to be his girlfriend and luckily she said. E.J. soon learns just how much Camila loves any and all photo booths, but doesn't care for overpriced champagne.

The COVID-19 Pandemic is just beginning. After two cancelled vacations, Camila and E.J. head out to the Shenandoah Valley for a Getaway to make the most of a difficult situation. While not the vacation they had planned for (both preferred to be a few margaritas deep on the beach), they learned a lot about each other while living in a tiny house for a few days. With little to no cell service and no one else around, they talked to each other about life, shared experiences, hardships, and imagined what life would be like when this whole COVID-19 thing was over.

As it turns out, the whole COVID-19 thing wasn't going anywhere. E.J. and Camila could not see each other in person for about 6 weeks and were limited to nightly zoom/facetime sessions. Just about every night for 6 weeks, E.J. and Camila would watch the latest hit on Netflix (Love is Blind, Tiger King, you get the point...) and talk about the days happenings. It seemed like the lockdown would never end as each day seemed largely the same with no upcoming plans to see each other in person.

Camila meets E.J.'s family in upstate NY for the first time during Father's Day Weekend. E.J. falls in love with Camila's playful spirit and how she bonds with E.J.'s niece, Hazel. And, Camila is amazed by how E.J. cares so much about his family and goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy.

E.J. and Camila move in together in a townhouse in Alexandria, VA. E.J. is amazed by Camila's interior designing skills and her ability to make a room really come to life. After a tumultuous 2020, E.J. and Camila settle down and start to learn more and more about each other. E.J. is mesmerized by how clean Camila keeps the house, but naturally they argue about the thermostat and how many pairs of shoes E.J. is allowed to keep downstairs. E.J. also falls in love with Camila's free spirit and dancing like no one's watching. Camila falls in love with E.J.'s cooking and attempts to sing Brazilian songs.

After a long hiatus of not being able to travel, Camila and E.J. head to Cancun, Mexico to see Camila's sister Isa. As Camila and E.J. arrive at the hotel, something seems a bit weird as the hotel mentioned a person with Camila's dad's name arriving on the same day. Maybe just a coincidence as his name isn't super unique, but it seems a bit off. As Camila and E.J. are checking in, a woman approaches them and asks if they lost a little boy. The little boy turns out to be Camila's nephew who she hasn't seen in over a year. It turns out Camila's parents and nephew boarded a plane earlier that same day to surprise Camila and E.J. at the hotel in Cancun. What was going to be just a vacation with Camila's sister turned into a magical week with Camila's parents and nephew. E.J. is a bit overwhelmed with meeting everyone for the first time via a surprise trip, but is nonetheless ecstatic to get to know Camila's family. Everyone has a phenomenal time and E.J. learns a few words of Portuguese from Davi (Camila's nephew).

E.J. and Camila head to Puerto Rico for a week of rest and relaxation. Or at least that's what E.J. thought. Turns out Camila had lots of adventurous things she wanted to do like visit Culebra and zip line through the rainforest. A day trip to Culebra turned into an overnight stay due to an unexpected tropical storm that cancelled all of the Puerto Rico bound ferries. Forever the optimist and despite heavy rain forecasted, E.J. convinces Camila to rent a golf cart to travel all over Culebra and check out the island's many beaches. Luckily, with all of the ferries cancelled and very few tourists on the island, Camila and E.J. got to enjoy the amazing beaches of Culebra and it barely rained! After the tropical storm passed, Camila and E.J. enjoy a few more special nights in Puerto Rico with great food and drinks and Camila's dance moves.

E.J. and Camila celebrate New Years Eve at the beach in Guarujá, Sao Paulo, Brazil surrounded by Camila's family. E.J. falls in love with the beautiful beach in Guarujá and dreams of one day buying some property there. E.J. decided at this point he was ready to ask Camila if she would spend the rest of her life with him. E.J. heads home a few days later and begins searching for engagement rings.

It's a few weeks before proposal day, and Camila still has no clue E.J. has been planning the big day for several weeks. E.J. and Camila head out for a night on the town in Adams Morgan. In typical Camila fashion, no night is complete without some silly photo booth pictures.

E.J. proposes to Camila at Magens Bay Beach in St. Thomas, USVI while on a cruise around the Caribbean. Camila is completely shocked and totally speechless. After several months of planning, E.J. executed his plan. E.J. told Camila that they would be going to a very nice restaurant for dinner that just so happened to be owned by a friend of Best Man Lawrence (who knows the manager of every restaurant). Knowing Lawrence, Camila believed it and willingly complied with bringing a nice change of clothes to the beach. After getting changed, E.J. had to come up with some way to get Camila away from the taxi area and close to the spot where the photographer would be waiting to capture the moment. Luckily Dani (E.J.'s sister) had "lost" her phone near the area where E.J. wanted to propose, so everyone walked back to the proposal spot. Upon arrival, the lifeguard nearby had "found" the phone. At this point, E.J. dropped to one knee and asked Camila if she would marry him. After a few moments of shock, Camila said yes and the rest is history. A beautiful engagement session all over Magens Bay Beach ensued and the newly engaged couple enjoyed many glasses of champagne to celebrate.
