WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
Dress Code: Semi-Formal / Dressy Casual
We’re excited to celebrate our special day with you! For our wedding, we’re aiming for a blend of elegance and relaxed charm. We encourage our guests to dress in semi-formal or dressy casual attire.
For Women: Think cocktail dresses, chic skirts with a nice top, or a stylish jumpsuit. Heels or dressy flats will complete the look.
For Men: A suit and tie, or a blazer with dress pants and a button-down shirt, will work perfectly. Feel free to skip the tie for a more relaxed vibe if you prefer.
We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves, so feel free to dress up or down within these guidelines. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Is everything in the same location?
Yes! Our entire event will take place at Barnside Place in Brusly, Louisiana.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes! Parking is available onsite. There is a gravel parking lot in front of the venue, in addition to overflow parking on the lawn, if necessary.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
We’re planning for a beautiful blend of both indoor and outdoor settings for our wedding! Our hope is to have the ceremony outdoors, with the reception immediately following. However, since Louisiana weather can be unpredictable, we’ll also be prepared to move the ceremony indoors to the Great Hall if needed. Regardless of where we end up, all areas of the venue will be accessible for everyone to enjoy. We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to celebrating with you!
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin at approximately 6:30 in the evening. Please feel free to arrive any time after 6:00 pm.
Where will the ceremony take place?
The ceremony will be held outdoors at Barnside Place in Brusly, Louisiana, weather permitting. However, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, the ceremony will take place indoors in the Great Hall.
Where will the reception take place?
The reception will follow immediately after the ceremony in the Great Hall at Barnside Place. We’ll also have access to the charming shabby chic bar area. The outdoor space will remain open for the rest of the evening, with plenty of seating and areas to relax and socialize, so you can enjoy all areas of the venue as the night goes on.
Where should I sit for the ceremony?
Feel free to choose any seat that you like—there are no specific sides or assigned places. We want everyone to be comfortable and enjoy the celebration, so simply sit where you feel most at ease. You are loved equally by all, and we’re thrilled to have you with us!
What is the weather like?
You can expect daytime highs to be in the range of 73 degrees, with cooler evenings around 54 degrees. It’s always a good idea to be prepared for a bit of everything, so we recommend bringing a light jacket, and knowing Louisiana weather, be prepared for possible rain. We’ll do our best to ensure everything is comfortable and enjoyable, regardless of the weather!
Can I take pictures during your event?
Yes, we encourage you to take photos with your phone and share them on our shared Google Drive so we can all enjoy the memories! Please be mindful of when and where you’re taking photos—respect the moments when the professional photographer is capturing key events and during special moments like the ceremony or speeches. Your discretion in these moments is greatly appreciated. We’re excited to see the day through your eyes and share these memories together!

What time will the reception end?
The reception will end at approximately 11:00 pm.
Can I bring a plus one?
We’re excited to celebrate with you and are thrilled to have you join us on our special day! Due to budget constraints and to ensure we can accommodate all our loved ones comfortably, most invitations have already included a plus one for those who are married or in a committed relationship. If your invitation doesn’t mention a plus one, we kindly ask that you attend alone. We truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Will children be allowed to attend?
We’re excited to celebrate with you and want to make sure everyone has a wonderful time! While we are keeping the event an adults-only affair to allow everyone to relax and enjoy, our own children will be a part of the ceremony. Unless specified otherwise, we kindly ask that you make arrangements for childcare so you can fully enjoy the festivities. Thank you for your understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
