They say love happens when you least expect it, and for us, it started with two people who were equally convinced they had the upper hand. In 2021, Sean was all ambition—an event-planning machine, hyper-focused on getting RSVPs and pulling off big ideas. Camila, with her quiet elegance and a warm smile that could stop anyone in their tracks, was intrigued by Sean’s boundless energy but wasn’t about to make things easy for him.From the very beginning, it was a playful back-and-forth. Camila dropped subtle, unmistakable hints of interest, but Sean—whether out of nerves or sheer obliviousness—didn’t seem to notice. Of course, he noticed; he just told himself he had to stay professional (while secretly hoping every walk to her car might end in a kiss). For months, we danced around the possibility of something more, each convinced we were the one calling the shots.Then, finally, Sean made his move. He asked Camila out, feeling confident that he’d played his cards right.And Camila said no.To this day, it’s unclear if Camila was playing hard to get or just trying to keep him on his toes. But Sean, not one to back down easily, chalked it up as a challenge. Fast-forward a few weeks to a Super Bowl party Sean was hosting. He hadn’t thought to invite Camila—after all, she’d said no, and Sean wasn’t the type to push his luck. But Camila, determined not to let the story end there, decided to crash the party.That night, amidst the noise and celebration, something magical happened. It wasn’t fireworks or a grand romantic gesture—it was a small, sweet kiss that changed everything. Sean had been too nervous to make the first move, but Camila knew just how to nudge him out of his shell.From that moment, the back-and-forth gave way to something real. On the special date of 02-22-2022, Sean asked Camila out again, and this time, she said yes. It was the start of a love story that has felt like the most natural, perfect fit ever since.Our relationship has been a blend of cultures and traditions, laughter and love. Sean has embraced Camila’s vibrant culture, slowly learning Spanish (with much effort and humor) and celebrating the beauty of her heritage. Camila, in turn, has embraced Sean’s penchant for heartfelt gestures, old-school romance, and his undying love for shepherd’s pie.On 10-4-24, Sean proposed, sealing the promise of forever. Now, as we prepare to say “I do” on 02-21-26, we look back on a story filled with playful rivalry, sweet moments, and a love that has grown stronger with each passing day.We love what we’ve created together—a partnership that feels like home—and we are so grateful for how all of our friends and family have embraced each of us as one. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you, surrounded by love, laughter, and the joy of bringing our worlds together. ❤️
