Shauna Sehic
Shauna Sehic - Matron of Honor
Shauna is my oldest sister and the most driven and loyal person I know. In many ways, Shauna was my second mom growing up, as well as my part-time roommate and kindergarten cheerleading coach. I'll never forget the days where she sent me to my room during practice... true character building moments. Shauna has a servant's heart, and she always shows abundant love to everyone in her life. Shauna moving back to Indy is one of the best things that has happened to me. It has been the greatest joy to watch her become a wife and mother, and I am beyond thankful to have her by my side on this day!
Samuel Beetham
Samuel Beetham - Best Man
Sam is one of the most influential people in my life - and beyond that someone that I look up to. From the moment we met our time together has been incredibly meaningful, and a big part of that is the fact that I feel like Sam has never had a shallow conversation in his life. His intentionality in all of his actions, paired with his ever-steady reliance on the Lord is what makes him a great choice for Best Man. Whether it was playing soccer together, starting a House Church at West Ottawa, or all of the incredible memories in between, I am so incredibly thrilled to know that Sam is willing to walk by my side for the rest of my life, and I am so thankful for that blessing.
Angela Williams
Angela Williams - Matron of Honor
Angela is my older sister, and the smartest and wittiest of all the Adkison kids. However, Angela is most known for her generous and thoughtful spirit. She always knows how to make those around her feel known and loved, and she is always encouraging me to try new things (like hockey). Growing up, Angela was the life of each of my birthday parties and probably the main contributor to their success. She can relate to anyone she meets, and it is one of the main reasons why everyone adores her! From stealing her clothes to trying to crash her friend hangouts as a kid, I have always looked up to Angela. I couldn't imagine this day without her by my side.
Jason Gandhi
Jason Gandhi - Groomsman
Jason is without a doubt my best friend from college, and most importantly the person who more than anyone taught me what brotherly love looks like. I could go on and on about the person that Jason is, but truth be told, once you meet him you will undoubtedly understand. Jason has the unique ability to make the person he is talking to feel like the only person in the entire world. Jason is the most reliable person I have ever met, and I have no doubt he will always pick up the phone. Jason and I bond over sports, and I will forever be impressed by his endless spreadsheets, and notes on the upcoming draft classes. When I need something to get done, Jason is my guy. I cannot speak enough words on how much I appreciate the person Jason is, and that appreciation seems to only grow by the day.
Sarah Stiers
Sarah Stiers - Bridesmaid
Sarah is one of my best friends that I met through Young Life at Purdue. Our first interaction was her complimenting my bangs... next thing I know, we are signed up to be roommates. You can catch her going on walks, watching critically acclaimed films or having meaningful conversations with pretty much anyone. She is one of the most authentic people I know, and her compassion and love for others is unmatched. Sarah is a friend that you can always confide in, and she will never make you feel crazy. We joke about how much we think alike, but I am so thankful for how she has made me feel so understood. Beyond pumped to tear up the dance floor together!
Trevor Adkison
Trevor Adkison - Groomsman
C: Trevor is my older brother, and possibly one of the goofiest people I know. He loves all things John Mayer, bearded dragons and Chrysler 300s. Growing up, I was always so proud to be Trevor's sister because he is so loved by everyone who meets him. Trevor definitely gave me a hard time growing up as his only younger sibling, but I am thankful that these days we get to hang out playing euchre and riding bikes. When Jamesohn met the family, everyone joked about him being taller than Trevor, but Trevor still maintains his self-proclaimed title of "Tallest Man in the World."
Taylor Fieldman
Taylor Fieldman - Bridesmaid
Taylor is one of my best friends from Young Life at Purdue, and the biggest "yes man" of spontaneous adventures. Sharing a bathroom for three years, we have had several fun memories, like Christmas tree decorating traditions, inconsistently being gym partners, and watching Spongebob Squarepants as full grown adults. Our shared sense of humor has bonded us together throughout the years. Taylor is always down for a fun time and has been such a big encourager in my life. She is loyal and protective to those she loves, and she inspires me to fight for what I believe in. I am so glad that we have committed to being lifelong friends and look forward to all the bagel dates to come.
Matthew Moraw
Matthew Moraw - Groomsman
Although I am not sure when everyone began calling him Matthew, Matt Moraw is one of the most exceptional people I have ever met. Matt is my Hockeytown brother, and we love to bond over our love for the Detroit Red Wings, along with our passion for our faith. I can always count on Matt for being the only person I know who can give me a run for my money in Chel (even though I am quite confident in my winning percentage). I look back fondly on vacationing with him last summer and hope that we will have many more trips in the future.
McKenzie Hamed
McKenzie Hamed - Bridesmaid
McKenzie and I met in third grade when she asked if she could sit at my lunch table. Ever since then, we have just clicked. We grew up playing soccer and basketball together, all while obsessing over Justin Bieber. It only makes sense that she would be the one to introduce me to my future husband. We pride ourselves on being complete opposites, but somehow our friendship just works. She is the most loyal and devoted friend I could ever ask for, the type of friend you want to be more like. McKenzie always checks up on the ones she loves, always giving them a shoulder to cry on. This day would not happen without her in my life, so it is truly a "full circle" moment to have her by my side!
Nicholas Hamed
Nicholas Hamed - Groomsman
Nick is one of the most positive people I have ever met. It does not take long to realize this, as the people who know him can attest to. I will always remember when I was a freshman and Nick invited me to dinner. From that point on we have become incredible friends, and I will forever be indebted to him due to the fact that he introduced me to my soon-to-be wife. I am confident that Nick will be my friend for a very long time, and I am immensely thankful for all the joy and energy he has helped bring to my life. (And also for introducing me to the game Bohnanza).
Eva Stachler
Eva Stachler - Bridesmaid
Eva and I have been part of each others lives since elementary school, but we joke about the fact that we did not become "official friends" until high school. Since then, no time has been wasted making memories. From senior year AP Lang and Anatomy class to college roommates at Purdue, Eva has been a rock for me through the years. Far before I met Jamesohn, I knew Eva would be in my wedding. She is a hardworking genius, and she always puts others before herself. This will make her the best pharmacist ever! Although our friendship was long distance for a bit, hanging out with Eva feels like no time has passed.
Graham Gould
Graham Gould - Groomsman
Graham. What a guy. This dude is something else! Graham and I first really became friends playing lacrosse in high school, and we have maintained being close ever since. Graham is one of my favorite people on this earth because he is so genuine and intentional. I always know that I am getting the 100% most authentic version of him when I am around him, and that is so rewarding to have in a friend. I cannot wait for more adventures in the future, and hopefully, a trip to Wrigley Field to see his beloved Cubs.
Anna Kiemel
Anna Kiemel - Bridesmaid
Anna and I got to meet during my time at Purdue. She was by far the Swamp's favorite guest, and if you know her, you would see why. Anyone who knows Anna, loves her. Anna convinced me to work at Greyhouse, and she unsurprisingly became my favorite customer to see on a shift. She has possibly the purest heart of anyone I know. Anna is selfless, thoughtful and is always down to plan an adventure with her friends. Now, I get the honor to live with her and experience her incredible design talent in our home.
Caydon Traino
Caydon Traino - Groomsman
Cade is my current roommate, co-worker, and most importantly friend. I love Cade, but I think the most glowing endorsement of him can be given not by me, but by everyone that I've introduced to him. People that meet Cade rave about the man he is, and can't get over how nice he is. I moved in with Cade in college because I thought he would be a good roommate. I moved back in with him a second time because he had truly become one of my closest friends, and I think that speaks for itself.
Madison McMahon
Madison McMahon - Bridesmaid
Madi and I met back in our middle school days. We really hit it off throwing discus together on the track team in eighth grade where she led our warm up line. In high school we were close friends, bonding over our love for makeup and making vines (before it died). Now we are both boilermakers and teachers, and we get to share our love for our students together. Madi is hilarious, unique, and compassionate. She has been my biggest cheerleader throughout my teaching and coaching career. I am thankful for a friend that I get to learn from every time we hang out, and I am so pumped to cheer her on this year (even from hundreds of miles away).
Tyler Parod
Tyler Parod - Groomsman
I met Tyler as a Young Life leader at Indiana. Tyler and I became close bonding over basketball and our love for shoes and apparel. Tyler and I have historically loved bouncing ideas off each other for businesses, and just overall are interested in a lot of the same things. One of the things I admire most about Tyler is that even though we haven't always been in the same place whenever we call it seems like not a single day has gone by.
Aiden Sehic
Aiden Sehic - Ring Bearer
Aiden is the son of Elvis and Shauna Sehic, and first-time big brother. He loves dinosaurs, monster trucks and making slime with his Aunt Cam. Jamesohn would like to note here that he did say his name before he ever said Cam's.
Aila Sehic
Aila Sehic - Flower Girl
The newest and tiniest member of the Adkison family!
Hayden Smith
Hayden Smith - Officiant
Hayden was Jamesohn's Young Life leader, but more importantly, he is also an incredible friend. Hayden and Jamesohn also lived together in Houston for a short time this past year, which was an incredibly life-giving time. Beyond the fact that Hayden is beloved by all, we are especially thrilled to have Hayden officiate our wedding due to his devout love for Jesus. He is the kind of person that pushes all of those around him to live a life through Christ, and it is with that in mind that we find him perfect for this occasion. With the utmost respect, we asked Hayden to officiate our wedding, and we are so thankful that he accepted.
