Our Wedding

Both Camryn and Gerard attended York College in Pennsylvania. Although they were both active and involved students on campus, somehow, their paths never crossed. In the fall of 2017, Camryn and Gerard both swiped right and “met” on Bumble, a popular dating app. After a few days of exchanging texts, Camryn and Gerard decided to meet, in person, on November 3, 2017. Upon meeting, there was an instantaneous spark. Their connection was undeniable. They continued to spend time together and talked everyday before making their relationship official on December 3, 2017. Camryn and Gerard’s relationship continued to grow and strengthen over the subsequent years. They met one another's families and friends, graduated college together, moved in together, started their first adult jobs, bought a puppy, travelled, and enjoyed many adventures together. In the fall of 2023, Camryn, Gerard, her sister Ashton, and Ashton’s husband Patrick visited Ocean City, Maryland for what Camryn thought was a quick couples’ getaway. Little did she know, Gerard had been planning the surprise proposal, with Ashton’s help, for weeks. On the evening of September 9, 2023 Camryn and Gerard enjoyed an evening walk along the beach. While holding hands, they talked and looked out at the ocean. As the sun was setting, Gerard got down on one knee and proposed to Camryn. It was an incredibly beautiful moment at a place that means so much to them. Camryn and Gerard look forward to creating a lifetime of beautiful memories together. A block of rooms at Home2Suites has been reserved for guests of the Burk Gibson Wedding. Complimentary transportation will be provided to wedding guests.

Hotel

Those who are staying at the Home2Suites Hotel will have access to the Bus Transportation. The Bus will depart from Home2Suites at 3:50pm. Please be in the hotel lobby 5-10 minutes before the bus leaves.  The Bus will provide transportation back to the Home2Suites Hotel after the reception, which is to end at 10:00 pm.
