Patrick and Candace met back in 2014 while enjoying a night out on the town with friends. Patrick expressed interest in Candace at a nightclub as he smiled at her throughout the night and eventually said, "Hey Beautiful". The two ended up exchanging telephone numbers later on that evening as they were headed home, not knowing that this exchange would lead to their forever love.

After sharing Christmas Eve with family, Patrick proposed to Candace on Christmas morning 2022. He got down on one knee and expressed his love, before asking, Will You Marry Me? It was private and intimate with just the two of them, which perfectly reflects their personalities.
