Q + A

When and where do I RSVP?

Formal invitations will be mailed out in May 2025 with a request to RSVP by June 28, 2025. There will be a QR code to RSVP and select your meal on our website.

What if I can’t make it?

You will be missed, but we completely understand! If you already know you can't make it, please RSVP “no” directly to us as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. We totally understand many of you live far away or have small children that might make attending our wedding a challenge. We look forward to celebrating with you at a later date.

Can I bring my kids?

We want you to be able to kick back, relax, and celebrate with us, which is why we have decided to have an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements to leave the kids at the home.

Can I bring a guest?

We are choosing to celebrate with only our closest family and friends to keep this special day as intimate as possible. Your formal invitation will indicate who is invited and if you are welcome to bring a plus one. Thank you for understanding!

What is the dress code?

The dress code is semi-formal / cocktail attire. We suggest a suit and tie, blazer, or button down with pants, a dress or jumpsuit. Wear whatever makes you feel great!

Where should I stay?

We have reserved a hotel block of rooms at Comfort Inn (5 minute drive from wedding venue). There are limited rooms still available on-site at The Elm Hurst Inn, so we encourage you to inquire early, directly with Elm Hurst, if this is your preference. See our "Travel" section for more information and a booking link for Comfort Inn.

Will there be transportation?

There are two Taxi companies in Ingersoll including Olde Tyme Taxi (519-425-0110) and AAA Taxies (519-535-8254).

Is parking available?

Yes, there is plenty of free parking on site. After you park, walk towards The Fountain in front of the mansion where our ceremony will be held.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

If weather permits, we intend to hold our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors (The Fountain) with the reception being hosted indoors (Grand Ballroom).

Can I take photos?

We are choosing to have an "unplugged" ceremony so that you can be fully present during this special moment with us. We have hired a fabulous photographer and videographer who will be taking content throughout the ceremony that we will share with you. You are welcome to take photos throughout the cocktail hour and reception.

What kind of food will be available?

There will be hor d'oeuvres passed during the cocktail hour and a three course meal offered at the reception which will include your choice of Chicken Supreme, Slow Roasted Prime Rib or Atlantic Salmon a la Plancha, each accompanied with Garlic Smashed Potatoes. We will also enjoy a Green Salad to start and Dolce de Leche Cheesecake for dessert. We are happy to accommodate any dietary allergies or restrictions. You can select your dinner option when you RSVP. The late night food menu includes Southwest Corn Chips with Sour Cream, Guacamole and Salsa, Cheese and Cracker Platter as well as a Chef's Selection of Pizzas.

Will there be an open bar?

Absolutely! Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available during our cocktail hour and reception. The bar will be closed throughout dinner but wine service will be available. Please note, our venue does not allow shots of alcohol - only mixed drinks!
