We had been working together at school for nearly two years. We’d always pass each other in the hallway and smile. Eventually, our students forced us to compete in a Halloween mummy competition during an assembly one day. After that, we struck up a conversation about how we both thought we were the students’ favorite teacher over the other! A friendship grew from there.



Next thing you know we were talking any chance we could get and we noticed that we would linger maybe a little bit too long. We loved talking to each other and would lose track of time. We would look forward to seeing each other every day and had all of the inside jokes.

Students noticed how much we laughed with each other and started to say things to us like “hey Mr. White you should go on a date with Ms. Janders” or vice versa all of the time!

Until finally one day he got the nerve to ask me with a “well maybe we should make their dreams come true!?” 

So we went for ice cream and after that the rest is history. I guess those kids knew something that we tried to deny! ♥️
