On February 14th, 2015, a good friend introduced Candace and Erin at the Spanish Town Parade in Baton Rouge, and an instant connection was formed. With a little liquid courage, Erin couldn’t resist Candace’s charm, dance moves, and electric energy. In turn, Candace was hooked by Erin’s vibrant personality, loving heart, and willingness to always have a good time. Soon after, they both realized they had found their lobster.

Over the years, Candace would mention marriage several hundred times, and Erin would shrug and say, “Yeah, SOMEDAY”.

On November 5th, 2021, Candace knelt down and proposed with a ring specifically chosen for Erin’s distinctive tastes. And just like that, SOMEDAY began to come into view.

To make sure Candace had her special moment, on November 5th, 2023, Erin orchestrated an engagement photoshoot and—much to Candace’s surprise—knelt down and popped the question.

On the ten-year anniversary of them officially becoming girlfriend and girlfriend, SOMEDAY will finally arrive as they become wife and wife. Anyone who has seen them together knows what a perfectly balanced pair they are. Their loved ones are overjoyed to see these two amazing women continue to walk through life together as a legal, loving, unified couple.
