It all started on a Saturday night hanging out with my girlfriends, Caitlyn and Abby. We were having an early birthday celebration and heading out for live music in downtown Wilmington. When I received a buzz on my phone, that would change mine and Allen's lives forever.I looked down at my phone and to my surprise I received a message from this really cute, but really random guy named Allen Bracey. He introduced himself through an Instagram message, with a smooth line like, "I don't know if this is going to work but prove me wrong.... Hey I'm Allen."

I asked a couple of my girlfriends about him after texting back and forth for a few days. We went bowling on our first date and had the best time together, (he admitted later that he was worried I wouldn't look like my picture).

We laughed and held some amazing conversations on our hour drive to Wilmington for that first date. We had a natural connection and have been laughing together ever since.

Allen proposed before a family dinner together at his parents house, surrounded with love by our parents. I was completely taken by surprise and filled with love and happiness. I almost forgot my left from right when he got down on one knee. I said yes to marrying my best friend! We continue to fall in love with each other everyday and we're so excited that we get to share this life together.
