HOW THEY MET

After both relocating to Denver for work, Candice & Jorge were introduced through their mutual friend Kalie. Candice and Kalie both worked together for the Westin while Jorge and Kalie had worked previously together at the Broncos Stadium. Kalie was out one night with her friend Jorge and they began talking about how Jorge wanted to take up golf. Kalie reached out to Candice to see if she would be willing to give Jorge a golf lesson and if she could share her number. After that night, Jorge & Candice began talking and met a few days later.

FIRST DATE

On a hot July afternoon, Candice & Jorge met at the Tavern in the Platte Park neighborhood of Denver for a drink. They ended up talking all night and have been inseparable since. Their love of sports, travel, and craft beer made them instantly connect and are their favorite things to do together!

THE PROPOSAL

Like many other families, 2020 didn't allow Candice & Jorge to go to California like they had done in the past for the Christmas holidays. Instead, Candice's parents were supposed to come to Colorado but due to the rising cases in California & Colorado, the trip was cancelled a week before her family was schedule to arrive. On Christmas morning, Candice & Jorge jumped on a video call with her family. As they opened presents and chatted about the day, everything seemed pretty normal to Candice. After they finished opening presents, Rocky distracted Candice and Jorge got down on one knee and said "Actually, there is one more present. Will you marry me?" Candice was in shock and couldn't believe. With tears of joy, she said "Of course!" and everyone was so excited! Candice's Dad recorded the whole call so the couple can enjoy this special moment for years to come!

FAST FORWARD TO TODAY

Candice & Jorge bought their first home in April 2020 in the Reunion neighborhood of Commerce City, Colorado. Shortly after moving into their home, they adopted their fur child, Rocky. They enjoy spending time at home, in the mountains, traveling, and with their families in California & New York.
