No, U.S. citizens do not need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico. It’s a U.S. territory, so a valid government-issued ID (like a driver’s license) is all you need.
Should I rent a car?
While it’s not required, renting a car can be helpful for exploring the island. Many rideshare options (Uber, taxis) are also available in most areas.
What’s the weather like in Puerto Rico?
Puerto Rico enjoys warm, tropical weather year-round. Light, breathable clothing is recommended!
What is the dress code?
Our dress code is formal. Keep in mind the tropical climate and outdoor elements when choosing your outfit.
Will the ceremony/reception be outdoors?
Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors to embrace the beauty of the El Yunque Rainforest. Don’t forget sunscreen, comfortable shoes for the terrain, and umbrellas in case there is a drizzle.
What’s the best way to get to the wedding venue?
The venue is located in Rio Grande at Hacienda Siesta Alegre which is nestled in the mountains, offering stunning views but limited parking. The terrain can be wet and slippery, so for safety and convenience, we highly recommend using Uber, Lyft, or other transportation services. For larger groups, consider booking a private transportation service to make travel easier. We also encourage ride-sharing—reach out to fellow guests to coordinate rides!
Do you have a gift registry?
We don’t have a traditional gift registry as we already have everything we need. If you’d like to give us a gift, we would greatly appreciate contributions toward our honeymoon or new home fund! You can find more information about it on our Registry page or can directly gift on the Venmo page.
