In February of 2023, I was a Travel Nurse making my way across the United States for my career. When I found myself in Raleigh, NC, I figured I would try out the online dating scene. After “swiping right” on Daniel’s profile, I didn’t know what to expect. However, when I opened my front door to Daniel’s sweet smile, I knew I was done for. After the first date I called one of my best friends screaming “I’m gonna marry him!”

After over a year of laugh-until-you-cry moments, endless movie dates, all-night talks, car rides, last-minute trips, and the greatest friendship I have ever known, I can confidently say I am more in love than I ever thought possible.

I have known I wanted to marry him from almost the moment I met him, and I haven’t questioned it a day since.

It was February 13th, 2023 that everything changed. I met Cara and we instantly connected. Meeting at Zinc House Winery, we talked for hours and were the last ones to leave. From that point on, we were talking and spending time together everyday. Pretty much inseparable.

There were so many things that led to me knowing she was the one - her understanding of me, her being kind of funny 😉, being able to talk to her about literally anything, sharing the same goals, and just feeling really at home around her.

I’m so lucky that an Alabama girl’s life crossed with mine. I am forever grateful for her, and I’m so lucky I get to spend the rest of my life with her.
