Eric and Cara met when Eric was delivering newspapers on Cara's street in the summer of 1984. Their eyes met, and that was all it took. They dated for 2 years while in high school, before going their separate ways. They remained friends, but chose different paths. Eric moved to California in 1991, and they eventually married other people and moved on with their lives. Yet neither could ever forget the magic that they shared.Life took them down vastly different roads. After being out of touch for many years, they found each other once again. They were both in the midst of divorces, and resetting their lives. The magic was still there, and they were not going to let it slip away. This time it would be forever.Eric proposed to Cara on the Gandhi Lawn at Lake Shrine in the Pacific Palisades, on the 40th anniversary of their first kiss, June 23, 2024. (Guess who remembered that date!). They always dreamed of being married at this spot, but the fires in the Palisades thwarted their plans indefinitely. After much debate and waiting, they are excited to invite you to join them in celebration of their love this June.

Brother Keshavananda is a  senior monk and minister of the Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF), founded by Paramahansa Yogananda. He has been a member of the SRF monastic order for over 50 years, and currently serves as a minister at the SRF Hollywood Temple in Los Angeles.

Brother was instrumental in Eric's move to Los Angeles, hiring him for the Lake Shrine Project in 1991. He continues to be a friend and inspiration. Brother recently sat down with India Currents to discuss the value of meditation, and the universality of all religions. Check it out here:

Brother Keshavananda

Cara and Sue are cousins who grew up together.  They have way too much fun when they get to spend time together, which isn't often enough because Sue lives in Missouri (and just refuses to move closer to Cara).  Sue is married to John Lylera who is also a lot of fun. Sue and John own Under The Yellow Umbrella-a craft and gift store in Saint Charles, Missouri, that features over 70 local small businesses under one roof, offering a wide variety of handmade goods, home decor, apparel, and custom-made items.

Our B-F-Jeff! Call him Jeff or Jeffrey, whatever you like. Always with a joke or a kind word, Jeff has been one of Eric's closest friends over the last ten years. "Jeff may be the "best man" that I've ever known. I'm so honored to have him stand with us on our big day."

Bob is one of Eric's closest friends and mentors. Working side by side since 1991, Bob has always been there to support Eric in whatever he does. When Cara moved to Los Angeles, Bob and his wife Wendy welcomed her into the family with open arms. The Davis' exemplify what "found family" can be. We love them dearly, and are honored to have Bob as the figurehead to give the bride away.

Ron Hart has recorded and performed with a variety of jazz, new age, rock and pop artists, beginning at age 19 with Dionne Warwick. Ron is a master pianist, and a close long-time friend of the Ragno family. Always there with a smile and a laugh, we are honored to have Ron as a part of our special day.

The Taco Stand

16 miles south of Encinitas is La Jolla, a beautiful upscale beach town filled with art galleries and high end shopping. Be sure to visit the Cave Store, which features an underground passageway with 142 steps that takes you into one of the many beautiful beach caves that lie beneath this luxurious town. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES.
