Cara and Dan met&nbsp;in a cave in Budapest in 2014while Cara was living in Spain and solo traveling and Dan was traveling through Eastern Europe with a friend. Over the years, they hung out every once in awhile in NYC, and then traveled in Asia together, before they began to realize that they had a lot more than traveling in common. In 2018, Cara moved in with Dan and they started dating.Dan proposed on a beach in Baja California Sur on March 17, 2020.

What are your COVID-19 policies? 

All guest must be fully vaccinated (including boosters) and a negative COVID test before the wedding. And of course, please stay home if you are feeling unwell, had a recent exposure, or have any upper respiratory symptoms. Masks will not be required. This policy may change depending on how the COVID situation is closer to the date of the wedding.

What's the dress code?

Garden Formal - Ties and jackets optional~﻿The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, so women who plan on wearing high-heels might want to consider bringing a second pair of flats.

Can I bring my children?

We would prefer this to be your night off! However, we understand that child care can be an issue, especially for our guests coming from abroad, so please contact us if this is the case, so we can make arrangements with the caterer.

Can I bring a Plus One?

Only if your invitation includes the terms "and guest" or "plus one", you are invited to bring them along. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate everyone, as space is limited. We appreciate your understanding.

Is the venue temperature-controlled? Accessible? 

Weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside in the gardens, while the rest of the evening will take place inside the main gallery of the Dixon Mansion, which is air-conditioned. The entire estate and mansion is wheelchair accessible.

Do you have a registry? 

No! Living in a small apartment, we don't have much space for gifts. Instead we will be setting up a honeymoon fund!

Will I be getting a formal paper invitation?

No, we are doing everything entirely digitally! You'll be notified when the RSVP opens on the website. So make sure you're checking your email.

~ Transportation ~

There will be transportation for guests to and from the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel and the wedding venue, so that you can drink (and not drive) and be merry. For guests staying elsewhere, there is Uber/Lyft in the area, however service might be limited or slow. There are also a number of taxi services available (such as <a href="https://rufessw.wixsite.com/website" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Taxi Cab Philadelphia</a>)

Shuttle Schedule

Afternoon schedule will start at 4:30 PM. The last shuttle will depart at 5:15. The ceremony will start at 5:30 PM. Evening return shuttle will run from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM as needed.

~ Accommodation ~

This hotel is 2.5 miles away from the venue (<a href="https://goo.gl/maps/ya3gJzeN5SMw6aVT9" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">8min drive</a>) and is the only hotel that we have blocked rooms (king and double queen) for our guests. There is an attached bar, restaurant, spa, gym (no pool), and golf course. We recommend you book ASAP as this is a popular holiday weekend and rooms are limited! Group rate guaranteed until Thursday, August 4, 2022. The blocked dates are from Saturday, September 3-Monday, September 5. If you wish to stay longer than these dates, and still get our wedding rate, then you'll need to first book your room through the special booking page and email the Marriott hotel manager (<a href="mailto:David.Gyza@marriott.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">David.Gyza@marriott.com</a>) we've been working with to book the additional days. Special notes:No one guest is allowed to have more than 3 reservations under their name at any time.&nbsp; Food and beverage, including those containing alcohol, are prohibited in all public areas of the hotel. Due to Pennsylvania state liquor laws, alcoholic beverages not purchased from the hotel are forbidden in the guest rooms as well. The hotel reserves the right to confiscate any alcoholic beverages believed to have not been purchased from the hotel. Our check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Guests arriving before 4:00 PM will be accommodated based on availability. The hotel will not guarantee early check-in.

Staying Elsewhere

Hotels: There are a couple of other hotels and inns within a 10-min drive of the venue, but we will only be blocking rooms for The Courtyard by Marriott. Airbnb: There are only a few Airbnb options for houses that are near by the wedding venue. Most of these can be found around Swarthmore College. There are also a number of full brownstone Airbnbs in the city center, but range in price and distance from the venue. Note on staying in the city center - Expect at least a 40 min drive from city center to the wedding venue.

Afternoon shuttle starts at 4:25 PM and runs every 6-8 minutes. Last shuttle leaves the hotel at 5:15 PM. The ceremony will start at 5:30. Evening shuttle starts at 9:00 PM and runs until 12:00 PM and runs as needed.

~ Travel ~

The venue is called the The Duke Art Gallery &amp; Community Arts Center at the Dixon Mansion and is located at <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/LTg28RzUbGD2ehR88" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">414 Plush Mill Rd, Wallingford, PA 19086</a> The venue is located just outside Philadelphia and only a 13 minute drive from the Philadelphia International Airport.
