Leesha is Caren's older sister, they became very close when Caren was a teenager and into Caren's adulthood. Caren knew from a young age that she would want Leesha standing next to her on her big day. Fun fact, Leesha is 11 years older than Caren

Alex is Joel's older brother and a man Joel holds to the highest esteem. They weren't very close for the 13 years or so they shared a room but have since grown to be good friends. Alex has been a role model spiritually and in practical life.

Caren and Jael met at Gimli Bible Camp when she was 12. Jael became a mentor and very good friend to her over the years. They shared serious talks, laughs, and growth over summers at camp together. They had people thinking anything from Jael being Caren’s mom, to being mistaken as sisters. Now she feels like a true sister to Caren.

Joel and Jacob (aka Squirrel or Yakkovich) met in middle school on a soccer field. It was awkward and they both suck at soccer but have been friends ever since. They bonded over many profound discussions on theology and philosophy.

Caren and Hannah have known each other basically since they were born, but they became very close in high-school. They have seen the best and the worst of each other, sharing the ups and downs of middle school, high school, and adulthood. She is very dear to Caren's heart.

Matty and Joel were fellow language students at Millar and the only two Hebrew "enjoyers" in their second year. They share an ambition for the academic world, past addictions to World of Warcraft, and a love for board games. Matty enjoys textual criticism and so might save Joel from some of the bore.

Caren and Bekah spent their first semester of first year at Millar College of the Bible quickly becoming very good friends. Since Bekah went home, Caren has gone out to see her twice in the little town of Didsbury. They continue to be very good long distance friends

Joel and Izzy have been good friends since the start of their first year at Millar. On the second day of school, Joel told him that he thought they would get along great. They have grown close through much suffering at the hands of the Greek language.

Caren and Faith really did not like each other when they first met, but being together in a leadership program at camp, they ended up bonding over the time when Faith's sister broke her ankle. That was in 2019; we continued to be friends but grew to be very close this past summer. Caren spent almost every weekend of the summer months at Faith's house. There were endless shenanigans, tears, laughter, and bonding.

Caren and Emily met briefly at a friend's wedding in the summer. Caren scared her by telling a shy girl like her that she knew who she was. Emily came to Millar in the fall and Caren started to go out of her way to talk to her more, quickly becoming a consistent visitor in her apartment on campus. Emily and her husband (Logan) became a key part in the start of Joel’s and Caren’s relationship.

Logan and Joel first met when Joel visited Millar in Logan's first year but they were reunited during their second year. Logan (and Emily) were a crucial factor in Joel and Caren beginning to date and continue to be good friends to the couple. Apart from a humorous hairline, he shares Joel's strong appreciation for board games and theology.
