Our story begins in August of 2020, when we started talking to each other through Snapchat. We both knew of each other. We grew up in the same town. We went to the same elementary, jr. high, high school, and college. So we started talking, and after a month of talking I told him we should meet up to see if the chemistry was there in person. So we planed to meet up and go out on a date.
The trouble was , we lived 6 hours and 15 minutes apart. I was still in our hometown of Gosnell, AR and he was living in Fort Mitchell, KY for work. We decided to meet in the middle, which was Central City, KY for our date. We met up, ate mexican food and hiked a trail. It was a good date, maybe a little awkward at times but he was really amazing and I enjoyed myself.
We kept talking until November 29th, 2020 when we decided to make it official and become boyfriend and girlfriend.
We spent Christmas together, Valentines Day, Spring Break, and when the girls were out of school we went to visit for a week in June and July. We also went on vacation together to Gulfport Beach and New Orleans.
Then the girls started back to school and we went back to only seeing each other a few days each month. It was hard, dont let anyone ever tell you long distance isnt a challenge. You need a lot of trust and understanding to make it work, but we were doing it.
October 7th, 2021 I found out I was pregnant. Adding a pregnancy to a long distance relationship was twice as hard, the hormones made being understanding a little bit harder for me. However, Garrett was even more understanding and was there for everything he could be while still working and taking care of things on his end.
On May 27th, 2022 Waverly Mae Logan was born. She brought our family together, her along with Violet and Jade. We were complete. Still, long distance was hard especially with a newborn baby. We knew we couldnt do it much longer. Garrett was missing little things that Waverly was learning to do each day, and I didnt want to raise our children without him.
In August of 2022 Garrett got the job he had been wanting for a long time. Which meant he had to relocate to Indianapolis, IN. He moved to Avon, IN September 9th, 2022 and October, 29, 2022 we followed him up there. The adjustment wasnt easy but it was worth it, we were finally together. A family, it felt right to be together.
On December 21st, 2022 he blindfolded me and took me out to Big Lake, AR onto the pier, there was a candle lit shaped heart and white rose petals. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes!
Now we are planning our wedding and just living one day at a time, watching our kids grow and everyday is a new adventure.
