August 2018: Cari and Ian meet through their mutual friend, Nikki. When Cari inquired about Ian quietly, Nikki shouted back, “He isn’t single, Cari!” Loud enough to embarrass them both.


September 2019: Cari and Ian cross paths again at the Pitt/Penn State game. Ian dominated Cari in a game of boom.


July-October 2020: Nikki tries to set up Ian and Cari but the pandemic and distance keeps an official relationship at bay.


March 2021: Ian moves to Pittsburgh!


May 2021: Cari and Ian start hanging out, celebrating new jobs and playing Phase 10.


June 2021: Cari and Ian begin dating on Ian’s birthday when she brought a pizza over that night to help celebrate his 33rd birthday.


January 2022: Cari and Ian adopt a dog from Puerto Rico, Max!


June 2022: Cari and Ian move in together.


January 2024: Cari and Ian closed on their first home together!


January 29, 2024: Cari and Ian get engaged when they walked through their front door of the new house together for the first time as owners.


April 12, 2025: Married!
