It started at East Beach in Charlestown, RI....


Carissa was a lifeguard and Alex was a park ranger. Even though the two had many mutual friends, they had never met each other at their high school- sweet, sweet, Chariho. During their first summer as coworkers, Carissa and Alex became fast friends and continued to stay in touch after Carissa left for Pharmacy School. A short time later, Alex joined the Air Force and relocated to Shreveport, LA. Whenever Alex would come home on leave, they always made it a point to spend time together.


Eventually, when the timing was right, Carissa and Alex decided they could make it work as more than just friends, even with the distance. Through multiple deployments and life events, they have always been each others #1 fan.


Once Alex separated from the Air Force, Carissa and the dogs joined him in Salem, MA where he earned a degree in Nuclear Medicine. 


Carissa and Alex can't wait to see what their future as Husband and Wife has in store for them...AND all of their pets!
