Our Wedding

Our love story 

We met through mutual friends while CJ was attending college at Northwood University. That night, Jenna and her friends decided to go to a party at CJ’s fraternity—and, as luck would have it, CJ was the one responsible for driving them there. We didn’t talk much that evening, but there was a quiet feeling that we’d both like to get to know each other another time. At a later gathering, we finally had the chance to talk more—and began the oh-so-joyous process of flirting. CJ was immediately taken by Jenna’s Johnny Cash t-shirt and lightning bolt earrings. “This girl seems different,” he thought. Jenna, on the other hand, appreciated CJ’s fresh, friendly personality. Not long after, we officially became a couple. As we navigated the sometimes-dreadful college experience, we kept each other afloat and made life a little easier together. It didn’t take long to realize we were becoming a great team. A few years—and many journeys and challenges—later, our bond had only grown stronger. We knew it was unbreakable. Then, on one magical day, CJ proposed to Jenna in Ludington on the beach, one of her favorite places. “You’ve made a lot of memories here,” CJ said. “How about we start a new one?” Now as we look ahead to our beautiful wedding, we’re so very excited to see where life takes us next. We’re extremely grateful for the people who have supported us along the way, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!

Holiday Inn Express 

We will be providing a shuttle for our guests to get from the hotel to the venue, and back at the end of the evening. Guests are welcome to leave vehicles at the venue and take the shuttle back as long as the vehicle is picked up by 9:00 am Sunday. Message us if you have any questions.

Jess and Jenna met in sophomore year of high school when Jess was new to the school. Being new, it was hard to make friends. Luckily, her and Jenna found each other and have been inseparable ever since. They have been on countless adventures together and can’t wait to go on many more as life goes on. They even have matching tattoos!

Jess- Maid of honor

Jenna and Bella met when they were 3 and 4 years old. They became next door neighbors and were constantly playing with each other day after day. The word “sister” is meant for blood relationships, but they broke that natural law with their loving relationship through their earliest years and beyond. Bella and Jenna use to spend countless hours talking about their future weddings and who they would marry, they always fought over who would marry Nick Jonas and unfortunately neither of them one that battle.

Bella- Bridesmaid 

Marisa is married to Carter (one of CJ’s Groomsman). With this mutual friendship, her and Jenna became close as well. Whether it’s cooking food, sipping wine, or Jenna doing her hair and makeup, they always find a way to have great times. Not only that, they feel comfortable enough to be their authentic selves with each other.

Marisa- Bridesmaid 

Lily and Jenna met at their sorority event at Saginaw Valley. The following semester, they became roommates. They made a close bond by making homemade potato skins and their favorite drink, Baja Blast. They always supported each other in their schoolwork and personal struggles. There was nothing they couldn’t work on together and better each other as a result.

Lily- Bridesmaid 

Kelsey and Jenna met each other through CJ and Luke’s (one of CJ’s Groomsman and now Kelsey’s husband) fraternity at Northwood. They had many similar interests, ideas, and mindsets which made building their relationship very seamless. Both became honorary sisters of the fraternity and formed a shared love of helping the brothers around them.

Kelsey- Bridesmaid 

Nathan and Jenna met through the fraternity at Northwood. Jenna was given the title of “Big Sister” to Nathan within the fraternity. Ever since she accepted that honor, they became genuine friends and always supported and looked out for each other no matter what.

Nathan- Bridesman 

Isaac and Jenna met through the fraternity at Northwood as well. Although she wasn’t given the honor to be his “Big Sister”, that didn’t stop them from making a strong bond between them. They were a dominant beer pong duo and exemplified great teamwork, which has carried on for years with their abilities to pick each other up when they’re down.

Isaac- Bridesman 

Ezra is CJ’s Best Man and have been best friends since their first day of Kindergarten. Even doing the simplest things like shooting hoops or playing video games, they never got bored with one another. They’ve fully supported and watched each other grow through their early years. They’re no longer able to see each other every day, but their brotherly bond hasn’t diminished.

Ezra- Best man 

Jenna’s brother, William, attended Northwood with CJ. Him and CJ didn’t meet each other until Jenna and CJ met. The two found similar interests in music, golf, video games and the fraternity. William and CJ have become close and he now welcomes CJ to their tight-knit family.

William- Groomsman 

Brennan and CJ were roommates all four years at Northwood. The two never seemed to fight as both respected and supported each other, turning them into great friends. One could barely be found without the other at school events, or even at the cafeteria. Brennan made a huge mark on CJ and will be his friend for life.

Brennan- Groomsman 

Anthony has known CJ since their grade school years. They’ve had some rocky moments but have always come back around. They may not see each other as often as they used to, but when they reconnect, it’s as if they never missed a beat.

Anthony- Groomsman 

Luke became CJ’s “big brother” and a great leader within the fraternity. He taught CJ how to be a better man and when to let loose to relieve the stresses of school, or just to have fun. CJ stood up in Luke’s wedding and now it’s time for Luke to return the favor.

Luke- Groomsman 

Peyton became CJ’s “little brother” and is everything a little brother should be. He is quite passionate about his friendships and very positive impact on others. Peytons loyalty and genuine care creates a sense of trust and is somebody that CJ can always lean on.

Peyton- Groomsman 

Carter is Marisa’s (Jenna’s Bridesmaid) husband and met CJ when he joined the fraternity at Northwood. He might’ve been late to the party, but he was first to graduate. Carter referred CJ and now both work at the same company. Carter always offers his aid for work or personal matters, making him a great friend.

Carter- Groomsman 

James is Jess’s (Jenna’s Maid of Honor) boyfriend. He’s known Jenna since 2nd grade and has been a faithful friend. Now he expresses those characteristics to CJ by being a reliable source of encouragement, strength, and generosity, as he’s always willing to buy the first round for the friend group at the bar.

James- Groomsman 

Spencer met CJ when he joined the fraternity at Northwood. Being the oldest guy in the group, he was and is, an example of responsibility and accountability. He also offers motivation to anyone who needs it and makes sure you stay the course to what you want to achieve

Spencer- “Security”

Nick met CJ when he joined the fraternity at Northwood and certainly left his mark. He’s the guy who is always the life of the party, tells you to take it easy, and make anyone feels welcome. His character is one of a kind. Nick and Jenna formed a close bond where they even have nicknames for each other “Sun” & “Moon”

Nick- “Security”

Unlike the other guys, Sabastien met CJ when both worked at Walmart in Midland. He did end up joining the fraternity and spent much time with Jenna and CJ. To them, he is the most considerate, mindful, and warm-hearted person they know, which is why he’s the perfect choice to bring Jenna and CJ’s hearts together forever

MEN: BUTTON DOWN DRESS SHIRT, DRESS PANTS, NICE SHOES, SUIT JACKET, BLAZER. TIE OPTIONAL   WOMEN: COCKTAIL/SEMI-FORMAL DRESSES CAN RANGE FROM MINI (ABOVE THE KNEE), MIDI (BELOW THE KNEE), OR LONG! DRESS PANTS, A NICE SKIRT AND BLOUSE ARE ALSO ACCEPTABLE. If you have any questions regarding our dress code please feel free to message us.
