Our Wedding

We first met second semester of our freshman year at Marquette University. Both being from large, Catholic families, with a strong background in swimming we felt drawn to each other from the beginning. Despite Grace being the eldest of her siblings and Carl being the youngest of his, Grace being type A and Carl being type B, we found that we complimented each other well. Our early relationship days included mostly Culver’s runs with friends, studying in the library, going to mass at Gesu, eating dinner at the Dining hall, and weight lifting at the college gym, but turned into graduating college together, Carl buying a house, Grace graduating grad school, getting engaged on a trip to Fiji, and getting a dog. We feel so fortunate to have gone through so many monumental experiences of becoming adults by each other’s side and can’t wait for our next adventure of getting married and spending the rest of our lives together.&nbsp;

Things to Do

Are Children Invited?- Children are welcome to join us for the ceremony at Gesu and to the welcome dinner at Greenfield Park on Friday. Unfortunately, due to space limitations at the reception at Anodyne, only select children will be invited. It will be specified on the invitation if they are invited. Can I bring a plus one?- It will be specified on your invitation if a plus one is included. What is the dress code?- Friday Welcome Dinner: Casual. It will be outside at a park pavilion, so dress comfortable for the weather!- Saturday Wedding Festivities: Cocktail Attire. Come dance the night away with us wearing cocktail attire. Smart clothing, like a suit, dress shirt and tie or knee-length dress is requested. Where can I park?- Ceremony: There is a parking lot directly behind Gesu for guests to park in. Parking Lot J: 601 N 11th St Milwaukee, WI 53233- Reception: Guests can park at Bradley Tech High School, which is directly West of Anodyne. Follow the signage. What can I do between the ceremony and the reception? - We understand there will be some down time between the ceremony and reception. We encourage guests to explore the city and take advantage of everything Milwaukee has to offer during the summer months. See "things to do" tab for some ideas!
