Our story begins one fateful afternoon on the lounge couch of a hotel room in downtown Seattle. A finger swipes to the right as a side aches from recent stitches. A notification appears on a phone, leading a young woman to make a decision that would forever change the life of not just her, but hundreds. Including you, dear reader. But this story has just begun in more ways than one so let us continue.
In Seattle, after two weeks of talking over Hinge and one painful recovery from surgery, Carla Armstrong and Jason Bilger met at a breakfast spot off of Ballard Ave. Conversation flowed as gently and as easily as a river. Harmony struck between a shared interest in travel, the enjoyment of life, and a gift of flowers after breakfast. Once the date concluded, Carla & Jason went their separate ways knowing they just had a wonderful time and could not wait until the next.
That wait lasted an hour. Hearing the success of her date, Carla's friend, Hannah, implored Carla to invite Jason for an impromptu double date about two hours after the first concluded. Surprised, but happy with this turn of events, Jason joined them for a second and a shocking third date. Eight hours of connection in the first day of meeting. If nothing, they're efficient!
The very next day, Carla & Jason met up again for a quick dinner date at Mox Boarding House. After they parted ways, they unknowingly had their last time together for eight months. The pandemic separated the two, with Carla flying out to Dallas and Jason staying in Seattle. They would keep in touch over phone calls, zoom game nights and synchronized streamings of Survivor. Unfortunately, the timing just wasn't right and they eventually separated over the summer.
Their relationship would reignite after Jason's fateful final night in Seattle. With liquid encouragement, he reached out to Carla and expressed his feelings for her. They would eventually reconnect in San Diego later that year. With Carla having moved to Phoenix, AZ, and Jason in San Diego, CA, they were able to maintain their relationship over a long distance that was short enough to visit a few times into 2021.
Their visits kept their love strong. Strong enough that they moved in together and continued growing their relationship for the next two years. On December 28th, 2022, Jason got down on one knee and proposed to Carla surrounded by family and celebrated with friends.
On November 9, 2023 they tied the knot with their family near by. They now invite you to celebrate their first year of marriage and the next chapter of their story on November 9, 2024. They can't wait to party with you!
