Our Wedding

Matt played on his work's softball team in summer 2014, and Carla came to sub for them a couple of times (when extra females were needed). Fast forward to February 2015, and Carla and Matt met again at a friend's get-together.&nbsp;Matt, interested in seeing Carla again, invited her to join a group dinner at his place scheduled for the following night. Oblivious Carla, thinking he was just being polite as they had been talking about said dinner in her presence, thankfully accepted! Even if it did mean missing Downton Abbey that night. They went on their first official date shortly thereafter.&nbsp;Since then, together they have explored Richmond, pet&nbsp;many dogs, visited five other states,&nbsp;and flown across&nbsp;the world to visit China.&nbsp;They are looking forward to many new adventures (and dogs) together!

Lemon Cuisine of India

A GREAT vegetarian bistro, where most everything can be made vegan!&nbsp;Our favorite menu item is the Black Bean Burger, complete with a warm homemade bun.

Fresca on Addison

Has a great Friday happy hour and is near other restaurants and bars on Main Street nearish to Carytown. Decent sushi, but don't you dare leave without getting a bucket of their tater&nbsp;tots! Trust us.&nbsp;

Sticky Rice

Matt loves this place. He wants to go with you and get the Malaysian Style Ramen.&nbsp;

Foo Dog

Sit-down Italian restaurant&nbsp;- fantastic pizza!&nbsp;

Arianna's Italian Grill and Pizzeria (Fan location)

Another great pizza option, although this is more of a takeout spot.&nbsp;

Belmont Pizzeria (Museum District location)

Great burgers (and veggie burgers!). Try a variety of dipping sauces with your fries!&nbsp;

Burger Bach (Carytown location)

Another great brunch option, famous for their salad/brunch bar situated in an old-fashioned bathtub!&nbsp;

Strawberry Street Cafe

Great popsicles! Visit their brick and mortar location in Scott's Addition, an up and coming Richmond neighborhood.&nbsp;

King of Pops

A&nbsp;"barcade"&nbsp;featuring a variety of games including&nbsp;Skee ball, pinball,&nbsp;NFL Blitz, NBA Jams and&nbsp;Guitar Hero.&nbsp;Also, sample new beverages from their&nbsp;wall of beers on tap!&nbsp;

The Circuit Arcade Bar

Part of the James River Park System, the main access to Belle Isle is by pedestrian footbridge from Tredegar St. Matt and Carla went for a walk here on one of their first dates. Bring your dog, bring your bike!&nbsp;

Belle Isle

The end to the Williamsburg-Richmond Virginia Capital Trail. Matt and Carla love riding their bikes along this, and Matt even rode the entire 50 miles one time! Great for scenic biking or running in the City.&nbsp;

Great Shiplock Park

A beautiful Victorian estate with gardens and wildlife right in the City, and also where our wedding ceremony will be held! Stroll through beautiful gardens and visit the various resident animals.

A small drive outside the city, but great for kids and adults alike. Be sure you get some food to feed the giraffes!

Metro Richmond Zoo

Always free to explore&nbsp;this wonderful art museum, and it has a beautiful and green outdoor space in which to relax! However, special exhibitions are not free.&nbsp;

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

Stroll down this section of Cary St. for a variety of shopping and restaurant options, or catch a flick at the Byrd Theatre!&nbsp;
