This love story is a true testament to God's timing. Though we have known each other nearly our whole lives, we never could seem to get the timing right. In junior high, we became friends through other friends. That friendship carried over into high school where we had nearly every class together. Sitting desks away from each other, our friendship grew. As time continued, our friends became aware of our interest in one another, but something always stood in the way. We dated other people, focuses were set on other things, and slowly both of us independently decided that it be best to wait for the pool of potential life matches to expand in college. Independently, we confided in our own friends explaining that the only person we would be willing to start a relationship with our senior year of high school was each other. Then one day in AP English, Peyton Hughes FINALLY asked Carlee Sang if she would want to watch his opening soccer game of his senior year. Soccer games turned into Dairy Queen after the games, which then led to the big question, "would you want to go to a movie, fishing, or maybe a sporting event with me?" (Peyton has obviously always been smooth...). You can guess where we went. Yep. Fishing.
And the rest is history.
