Our Wedding

Carlee's story:

I met AJ at a karaoke bar, I had gone with a friend who introduced me to him. We didn't click on the initial night, but a couple weeks later I went to the bar again and we started talking. I thought he was great, and we bonded over both having been told we were&nbsp;"too sweet". I asked him if he wanted to go to a friend's birthday party with me, and after he told me he did we started getting ready to go. Long story short,&nbsp;AJ&nbsp;spat on&nbsp;the ground, I told him it was gross, and he told me I had to get used to it. In my shock, I tripped and broke my big toe. Luckily, AJ is and was amazing, so he drove me to my friend's place to drop off the supplies I had for the party and then took care of me, getting me ice for my toe and watching netflix with me. He even went to the doctor with me! Fast forward a little bit and I told AJ that I wouldn't say "yes" to being his girlfriend until he met my sisters, he met them on a Saturday for Mari's birthday party and decided he would think of a special&nbsp;way to ask me to be his girlfriend. Well, the following Monday we were sitting outside of a Starbucks in his car, talking, and he said&nbsp;"I really don't want to wait until the 'perfect time', I like you, a lot, and I want you to be my girlfriend". I said "Are you asking me?", and he said "well, what's your answer?". He didn't have to wait until the perfect time, because that WAS the perfect time (I said yes, and we were official!).&nbsp; Throughout the 2+ years we've been together, we've gotten close with each other's families, we've worked together, we've celebrated accomplishments, and we've consoled each other through hard times and losses. AJ and I have known for a while that we found our 'person', so when he proposed at a Dallas Stars game, with butterflies in my stomach and a smile on my face, I knew that he was my happily ever after and said "yes".





AJ's story:





We met at a local Plano bar, Carlee was going with a friend and I was going for karaoke. The friend she came with was a friend of mine as well and we started talking. My big opener was “your hair smells nice” -&nbsp;yeah,&nbsp;a real stalker vibe up front. But somehow she didn’t run away we hung out for the rest of the night and exchanged numbers. Over the next weeks and months we got to know each other more from meeting parents and siblings to meeting friends we started dating on March 21, 2016. Fast forward to March 25, 2018 at a Dallas Stars game, after their 1st and only goal that game, I got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife- luckily for me she said yes! And the rest is still being written.&nbsp;

We are so excited to begin this new stage of the rest of our lives together&nbsp;and we are so blessed to have all of you supporting us!

A favorite memory:AJ: When you took time out of your day to schedule and go to brunch with&nbsp;Chelsea, Randy, Carlee, and I. I'm not sure many other people can say their brother-in-laws really are part of the family, but I'm lucky that I can.&nbsp;Carlee:&nbsp;When he and Courtney took us to a Stars vs Bruins game! He was supportive of his team without getting crazy, called everything that happened in the third period right before it happened,&nbsp;and we both got a good laugh out of AJ's annoyance at the Bruins fans in attendance!

Carlee’s sister.A Favorite Memory-Carlee: Brittany was driving us to BJ's Brewhouse for a pizookie and decided that I needed to learn some new dance moves...&nbsp;AJ: Round burgers... all the toppings just fall off!

A favorite memory:AJ: When we had free rein of Disney and rode Dinosaur so many times. We goofed around through all of the parks just bonding and being brothers.Carlee: When we took him to Waffle House and he brought his Nintendo Switch so we played One Two Switch at the Waffle House without a care that anyone was watching!

Carlee’s sister.A favorite memory:Carlee: Watching our then favorite tv shows (Bones, Grey's Anatomy, Sweet Home Alabama...) together on the couch and catching up while she was in college!AJ: Being teammates for beer pong and beating everyone else, that or winning against her at beer pong. Some might say we get competitive.

A favorite memory-Carlee: In Hawaii, when Mike and Brittany announced their engagement, I remember hugging him and telling him I was so excited to finally have a brother!&nbsp;AJ: When Mike&nbsp;celebrated my change of job this past year, cracking&nbsp;open&nbsp;a beer with me and cheers-ing at a Wednesday night dinner.

A favorite memory:AJ:&nbsp;I opened a gift from you one Christmas, and&nbsp;I sprinted&nbsp;across the room and gave you a ginormous hug. I don't remember the gift, but I remember how much it meant to me that you knew exactly what I wanted.Carlee: After our first meeting with a venue, before she knew I wanted her to be a bridesmaid, she was so happy for us,&nbsp;was already helping and asking all of the right questions about the venues, and offered to help whenever she could if we wanted her to!

A favorite memory:AJ: When Carlee and I brought you chicken-minis one morning and we talked about your weekend and joked around like we were kids again.&nbsp;Carlee: When AJ and I drove her and her&nbsp;friends into Dallas so they didn't have to pay for an uber- she told AJ&nbsp;"I like her!&nbsp;Don't mess this up!" Everyone was dancing and singing in the car, and the smile on AJ's face when she said that meant the world to me!

A favorite memory-Carlee:&nbsp;Him letting me stop by the apartment between college and work to have lunch and joke around!AJ: When we got to bro-out and play videos games together almost all day while Mari and Carlee went out and had girl time.

Shopping, Restaurants, and Entertainment!There is a Thomas Kinkade Gallery on the Square, if you're not familiar with him he creates beautiful paintings, including many Disney pieces. We currently own a couple Thomas Kinkade puzzles and a Thomas Kinkade calendar!
