Freshman year of high school, Carleigh started going to Long Hollow Baptist Church more frequently. She went with a group of friends to an event called "Crusade" where she sat behind Sawyer and some of his friends. They met that night for the first time and due to two of their friends starting to hang out more, subsequently so did they. Before they knew it, every week their group of friends would sit together at church and somehow Carleigh and Sawyer started hanging out together more individually.

(We really have tried to remember how this started... it's a mystery).

Fast forward through a lot of group events, movie nights, friends and family trying to convince them they liked each other and they arrived at summer going into senior year. Sawyer made the first move, and to everyone's not so much surprise, they started dating. They dated through senior year, made it through Freshman year of college 3 hours a part with a lot of dates meeting in the middle in Monteagle, TN. But halfway through Sophomore year of college distance, school, and life just got to be too much. So, they with no hard feelings decided to part ways

3 years went by with minimal communication, Carleigh and Sawyer had both moved on to dating/going out with other people. Somewhere in the last year, Sawyer reached back out to Carleigh via text and they started becoming somewhat of friends again. They caught up on life- Sawyer had moved to Texas, Carleigh was about to start PA school in Nashville.

Then, one day Sawyer told Carleigh that his grandfather, whom she loved, had passed away. Carleigh and her parents thought the world of him, so they opted to go to the funeral in Nashville. After seeing Sawyer for the first time, Carleigh got a text from Sawyer asking if he could come over and catch up later that night. Carleigh agreed and they stayed up until 4am talking about life over the past 3 years... Fast forward 4 months and Sawyer officially asked Carleigh to be his girlfriend. She said yes and after a year of long distance of him living in Texas, flying to Nashville every single month, he moved back to Tennessee. The rest... well I think you guys know how this story ends :)
