Carlen and Ian have always been close... literally! While not knowing it at the time, they spent most of their childhood growing up in the same neighborhood in Scarborough, Maine -- within a half mile walking distance. Thanks to life’s “divine timing”, their paths finally crossed in 2014, when they were both living in the next town over.

Carlen and Ian quickly bonded over their love for the outdoors and although they share many similar interests such as camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, boating and exploring rural Maine, they are true opposites and over the years have brought out the best in each other because of it. They share a home together in Windham, Maine by Little Sebago Lake with their dog and cat.

On July 28th, 2018, Ian proposed on a trip to their favorite getaway, Moosehead Lake, on railroad bridge overlooking the east outlet of the Kennebec River.

Their intimate wedding will take place at the Black Point Inn in Scarborough, ME as a tribute to the couple’s love for the ocean and hometown. They are looking forward to celebrating the special day with their closest family and friends.
