On April 23, 2022 at a wedding outside of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Matt and Carley were introduced.

At the time Carley was living in Baltimore, MD, and Matt in Mechanicsville, VA. Phone calls and texts quickly led to trips up and down I-95 to visit each other. Matt asked in July of 2023, and Carley eagerly accepted to be his girlfriend.

With their relationship blossoming, closing the distance between them quickly became a priority. In February 2023, Carley moved to Mechanicsville, VA to join Matt. Throughout 2023 they solidified that Mechanicsville was where they wanted to put down roots. On November 26 they put an offer on a home that was accepted and 3 days later Matt got down on one knee and asked Carley to marry him.

They closed on their home just before Christmas and moved in mid-January. They started making wedding plans in February and are beyond excited for the months building up to their big day. They pray that like the night they met, it will be the start of something beautiful!
