Glad you asked! We will have the driveway blocked off for immediate family and some of our older guests, so we ask that if you are able, to park in our front field (there will be designated parking areas and signs). We ask that most of our guests park at the Legion (reception location) because we will have a shuttle bus to get people to and from our house for the ceremony (less than 5-minute ride). We aren't sure how muddy the field will be in early May so to avoid people getting stuck or their nice clothes ruined we feel this is the best way to ensure the safety of all our guests. You can park in the field if you don't want to ride the shuttle but that is at your own digression, and we won't be able to help you out if you get stuck until the next day. (We prefer if you park out there, you have some sort of all wheel drive SUV or pickup truck.)
What time will the shuttle bus start?
The shuttle bus will be at the Legion 60 minutes before the ceremony starts. It will make as many trips as possible before 3pm when the ceremony starts. The last bus will leave from the Legion around 2:45pm to make sure everyone is seated prior to the start of the ceremony. Please try to be early to the Legion to catch the shuttle so there is not a delay in the start of the ceremony. For anyone that arrives early, there will be small drink stations, yard games and fans for your convenience. We might be taking getting ready pictures or doing our private vows and we do ask that you respect our privacy and do not disturb during this time, we will be happy to talk and visit with you after the ceremony!
Will there be bathrooms available at the ceremony location?
Yes! We will have our side door open that leads into our laundry room that has a bathroom. It is an open area with no doors to the actual bathroom so we will have the door to the house locked and you will have to lock the outside door to ensure privacy. No one will be allowed to enter the rest of house before the ceremony to ensure we are able to finish getting ready/take pictures without any distractions. We can open the rest of the bathrooms after the ceremony in case anyone needs to go to the restroom before they leave.
What is available during the cocktail hour?
We will have an open bar during our cocktail hour as a thank you to all who joined us on our special day! There will be a set limit so once that money runs out it will turn into a cash bar. Soda, water, coffee and tea will be free all night long. We will also have hors d'oeuvres (snack station) and a kid's station!
We will be taking family pictures after the ceremony so please respect this time and leave in a timely fashion so we can get the most benefit out of our photographer!
How long do we have to RSVP?
We will send out invitations around mid-February via mail and hand delivery. We will attach QR codes for easy RSVP online or you can mail it to us! RSVPs are due no later than April 1st, 2025. We need about a month to finalize all of our vendors so this is a definite must! If you don't RSVP before then you are still more than welcome to come, but please bring a chair and a sandwich! (And no, we ain't foolin').
