Darren and Carli met on the dating website Bumble. Shortly after they lined up their first date, Darren canceled due to working late. Carli had to be talked into giving him a second chance. It didn't take them long to find out how much they had in common from large noses to growing up 10 minutes from each other, to ALREADY being facebook friends, to Darren asking "Wait, is Jim Stelse your dad, he was our nutritionist when we milked cows." and the rest is history!

In December of 2023, Darren proposed to Carli in Lake Geneva in front of the water. They currently live together in Cambridge, WI.
