Year One
It all started with a swipe...
On Carlie & Steven's first date, they met at a brewery, moved to Pizza Port, then to a winery, and wrapped up with a walk on the beach.
After a 6 hour first date, the rest was history.
The first year was filled with lots of adventures, the first "I love you", college applications, college tours, a family Thanksgiving, and a whole lot of wineries.
Year Two
In year two, Carlie accepted a grad school offer at Arizona State and Steven accepted a transfer offer from The University of New Mexico.
In August, one moved to Scottsdale and the other to Albuquerque, they spent the next seven months traveling between cities for long weekends and school breaks.
Steven came to visit Carlie in AZ during spring break of 2020 and ended up never leaving. Steven spent several weeks in AZ then the two traveled back to NM to finish out the semester virtually from Steven's itty bitty college apartment.
Year Three
Year three brought a move to Albuquerque. Carlie & Steven signed their first lease together and made New Mexico home.
They adjusted to pandemic life in New Mexico, which was mostly confined to their new apartment.
Year Four
Carlie graduated from ASU. Steven joined the American Nuclear Society and got involved in research at UNM.
They explored White Sands National Park, the Balloon Fiesta, and welcomed family & friends to their new home!
Year Five
Steven graduated from UNM, they explored Pagosa Springs, CO, and brought Dorothy home.
Carlie & Steven started house hunting and kept their fingers crossed they would find the perfect home.
Year Six
They closed on their first home!
They traveled and explored!
They got engaged!
Year Seven
Carlie & Steven will get married and continue to build the most beautiful life together with the people that they love!
