It all started with Peter’s birthday and Beer Olympics on November 26th, 2022. Carlie and Paytons mutual friends decided to put Carlie and Payton on the same beer Olympics team. Payton did not talk to Carlie for the first hour or two because when she walked down the stairs he thought wow shes cute and got nervous.


Meanwhile Carlie was getting annoyed with the mutual friends because they kept saying you guys would be so good together!, hows it going!, give him a chance. Carlie shared if they did not stop talking about it, she would not give Payton a chance.


Payton then had enough liquid courage and began to talk to Carlie throughout the night. Payton got Carlies number at the bar and began to talk about a date they could go on. He then texted the infamous text later in the night, Where you at beautiful. Carlie did not respond until about 2pm the next day. She thought it best to make him sweat a little.


Carlie and Payton went on a few dates within the next few months. Payton officially asked Carlie to be his girlfriend on January 15th, 2023.


While on vacation in Florida, Payton asked to go on a sunrise walk the next morning. Carlie did not want to get up “early” on vacation. Payton and Karen had to convince her to get up “early” for the walk. Payton was on his phone and did not talk to Carlie the whole walk. Carlie thought he was going to propose at the pier (he did not), so she thought he chickened out. Payton surprised Carlie on the way back. He proposed to Carlie on the beach in Anna Maria Island on March 13th, 2024. Where she said yes!.
