Brandon and I crossed paths in 2018, while assigned to the same project at work. For a couple of months, we had daily conversations regarding the project (if you know me, I like to check things off my list and can come off a bit pushy)..after our project was completed, I thought FOR SURE that was the impression he had of me.

Fast forward to January 2021 a newly single Carlie, receives a message from Brandon…and come to find out, I must not have come off as pushy as I thought! We spent a month and half of texting back and forth before we finally planned to hang out in person. It took four and half months of us hanging out and getting to know each other before he decided that he, in fact, enjoyed said pushiness. I was rapidly approaching 30 and wasn't about to start dating just to date, so on July 18 we sat down and made sure our views, wants and needs aligned!

Fast forward to May 2023. HE PROPROSED!! Brandon thought he was being sneaky and sly but slightly failed when it came to the proposal. First, I have to start by saying that I HAD to have my mom's diamond in my engagement ring so when he asked for her ring, I knew it was only a matter of time! The Monday before he proposed, he said he was making surprise plans. On Wednesday we figured out the attire of said surprise plans and he was ready to get fancy. On Thursday he had to verify what my middle name was because he was stuck between two different names (insert eyeroll here.. typical guy not remembering a middle name after two years). On Friday Brandon asked what color I was painting my nails. What guy cares about nails unless he was making sure they looked pretty for pictures. Needless to say, on Saturday I went and got a mani/pedi!

Fast forward to March 6th, 2024. WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!! I am sure this day will be amazing as we celebrate our love with family and friends!
