We met during the summer of 2021 as next door neighbors in the South Side of Pittsburgh. Now we love to spend our time with friends, being outdoors hiking or running, traveling and exploring new places, and cooking. Stephen proposed on November 9th, 2024 and it was a huge surprise! We are so excited for you to join us and celebrate our wedding day!

Hotels & Other Accommodations 

We have hotel blocks at two different hotels in downtown Pittsburgh: Homewood Suites by Hilton and the AC Hotel. Both are conveniently located within walking distance of the wedding venue (10 - 15 minute walk). These hotels can be booked through the links listed below. If you prefer to stay in an alternative hotel, we have listed some other options below as well. There are also several options for Airbnbs in Pittsburgh if you would prefer to have your own space. If you prefer to book an Airbnb, we recommend staying in one of the following neighborhoods: Strip District, Lawrenceville, North Shore, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Southside, or Bloomfield. Venue Parking

Please note that our wedding venue, The Art Room, does not have its own parking lot. If you are planning to drive to the venue, there is paid street parking located all throughout the Strip District. Street parking is free after 6pm, but it can sometimes be tricky to find street parking in this area. There are also several paid lots and garages nearby. The parking lot we recommend is located at 1600 Spruce Wy, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, and is right across the street from our venue.

Getting Around

If you are staying in one of our reserved hotels, the wedding venue is just a short walk down Smallman Street. Ubers and Lyfts are common in the area, and are generally pretty affordable. Pittsburgh also has a bus system, and if you plan on using the buses to get around then just download the "PRT Ready2Ride" app. We also recommend downloading the "Go Mobile PGH" app, which can be used to pay for public city parking.

Located in Pittsburgh, a 12-minute walk from Point State Park, Omni William Penn Hotel provides accommodations with a fitness center, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers room service and a 24-hour front desk. The property is a 7-minute walk from David L. Lawrence Convention Center, and within a few steps of the city center. The hotel will provide guests with air-conditioned rooms with a desk, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a shower. All guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge. The breakfast offers buffet, à la carte or continental options. Omni William Penn Hotel also provides a business center and guests can use the on-site ATM machine at the accommodation. Popular points of interest near Omni William Penn Hotel include Andy Warhol Museum, PNC Park and Pittsburgh Children's Museum. Pittsburgh International Airport is 14 miles away.

Omni William Penn Hotel

This 4-star luxury hotel in downtown Pittsburgh is located one mile from Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Housed within the Fulton Building, it offers 2 on-site restaurants and rooms with free WiFi access. The David H. Lawrence Convention Center is 10 minutes' walk. Each room at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel comes equipped with a 37-inch, flat-screen TV and an iHome docking station. Allegheny River or city views can be enjoyed from the guest rooms. American cuisine is served at Braddock’s Rebellion. The Renaissance hosts Braddock’s Street Side Tavern, specializing in American dishes. Guests at the Pittsburgh Renaissance can work out in the gym or work in the business center. The Andy Warhol Museum and PNC Park are both 2625 feet from the Renaissance. The hotel is 15 minutes' drive from the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium.

Hampton Inn &amp; Suites Pittsburgh Downtown is just minutes from the Frick Art &amp; Historical Center, which is a 6-acre complex of museums, historic homes and lavish gardens. Located 1585 feet from the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh Downtown offers complimentary WiFi. PNC Park is 0.8 mi from the property while Heinz Field is 1.6 mi away. All rooms include a work desk, hairdryer, small refrigerator, coffee maker and high ceilings. Hi everyone! As we get closer to the big day, we wanted to share a tradition that is near and dear to our city. In true Pittsburgh fashion, we will be hosting a Cookie Table at our reception! For those unfamiliar, the cookie table is a local tradition where family and friends contribute their favorite homemade treats for everyone to enjoy. If you have a signature recipe you’d love to share, we would be honored to include your cookies on the table. To make sure we have a good variety (and don't end up with 50 dozen chocolate chip cookies!), please reach out to Carlie or Stephen directly to let us know what you'd like to bake. A note for our out-of-town guests: We completely understand that many of you are flying in for the weekend and won’t be able to bake.
