These are some of our favorite things to do while in Hays, so we hope you enjoy them if you have some extra time!

Things to Do:

Visit FHSU's campus - if you've never had the chance to see the Fort Hays State campus, we would highly recommend.

Visit The Bricks - Hays has an amazing downtown, with many shops and restaurants. You'll find all sorts of treasures here.

Visit the Sternberg Museum - a wonderful natural history museum showcasing the Great Plains.

Get a drink at The Fort - this bar in downtown Hays offers fun for the whole family with mini bowling, and an outdoor patio for cornhole or pickleball.

Places to Eat and Drink:

Breathe - this coffee house downtown has the best, unique coffees in town, and they also have scones and crepes for breakfast.

The Golden Que - known for the best burger in town, this sports bar is a staple in Hays, and also a great place to grab a drink.

The Paisley Pear - if you are looking for a glass of wine or fancy cocktail, this is the place to be. They also offer a great food selection.

Gellas - this restaurant and brewery never disappoints! Their menu has a wide variety of options and you can't go wrong by getting their beer flight.

Defiance Downtown - this is another brewery in Hays, and their downtown location serves great woodfired pizza.

Sake2Me - if you are in the mood for sushi, you have to try this downtown staple. They offer classic as well as unique sushi rolls, and a few non-sushi options.
