They say opposite attract, right??? Well, there it is! We are definitely different. We have known each other for 20+ years. Oh, how I had the biggest crush on him!! So, in May 2018, when he asked me out, of course I said "Yes!" That's when we officially started dating and it was euphoric! One played hard to get while one was more interested than the other. It sure felt like the 'honeymoon' stage of our relationship!

My most memorable moment dating Carlos is when I had undergone a surgery and he spent many days taking care of me. I knew then, he was the one. Over time, our feelings grew into love, yes, LOVE! So, June 2019, we became an official couple! Things were not easy, but one thing we have always agreed on, is that no matter what, we will work through it all. We had no doubt we would make it. Things were never perfect, but in our eyes, we are perfect for each other!!!

Finally on December 25, 2021, Carlos gave me a gift. The gift was wrapped in several boxes, each box wrapped with more paper. NO WORRIES, I LOVE THE DRAMATICS. I laughed the entire time. His mother was on facetime and all our kids were present. Opening the box (in my leopard print robe and bonnet and my gray pajama pants -looking an absolute perfect mess), I definitely did not expect his next move. Call me dramatic, but it felt like 15 minutes later, Carlos got down on one knee, in a white tee and some pajama pants (which is why I was thrown off) , smiling, and said 'Baby, I love you! Will you make me the happiest man on Earth?! Will you marry me??!!!!! Of course, I said "YES" with tears of joy. Carlos and I are a team!! We are partners, lovers, and friends! And I can't wait to become one on Saturday August 12th, 2023!
