Charleston City Market - Downtown
While you’re downtown checking out some of the sites, consider visiting the Historic City Market. It’s open daily from 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM and is home to over 300 local vendors. It’s a great place to visit if you’re looking to pick up souvenirs or gifts from the trip.
Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge - Accessible from Downtown and Mt. Pleasant
Go for a walk on the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, home to the annual Cooper River Bridge Run. Connecting Mt. Pleasant to downtown, the bridge offers 2.5 miles of pedestrian and bike paths each way (5 miles roundtrip). It also offers a great view of the Charleston harbor!
Where the wedding party will stay for the wedding. Folly is an eclectic beach with lots of character. It’s located south of downtown and offers a variety of fun bars and restaurants.
Accessible from Mt. Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island is a calmer place to spend the afternoon lounging on the beach. It also offers lots of good food options (e.g., The Obstinate Daughter, Poe’s Tavern, Beardcat’s Sweet Shop, etc.).
Connected to Mt. Pleasant and Sullivan’s Island, IOP is another great beach option nearby. If you’re looking for a bite to eat while you’re there, consider Acme or Long Island Cafe.

Visit the Magnolia Plantations 30 minutes north of downtown Charleston for the ultimate Lowcountry garden experience! Admission gives you access to 66 acres of romantic-style gardens, including plants and trees that have been growing on the property since the 1840s. If you have the time, it's worth the visit!
