Draylon and Carly first met in August of 2020 when Carly took a manager position at the Brookshires in Hillsboro, where Draylon worked part-time. Because they worked in different departments, they hardly ever spoke and didn't get to fully know each other until much later.

Fast forward to late 2022. They both ended up being single parents. Carly was still working at the Hillsboro Brookshires and had a second job at Whiskey Canyon Ranch. Draylon had moved on to being a teacher and coach at Bynum ISD.

On December 31, 2022 they reconnected via social media. They talked non-stop for a few days before agreeing to hang out one night when Carly got off work at the Ranch. That night, they watched a movie and planned their first official date.

A couple months & several dates later, they decided to introduce the kids. Malachi and Miley connected so naturally, and the rest is history!
