Hi, it's Carly. I started writing this in third person and got weirded out by myself so I'm not going to do that anymore. Shane and I met on online on a dating app called Hinge. I was so sick of the dating apps and hadn't been active in a few months so I went in to delete my account and decided to look at one more match. I liked his picture and then the conversation started with a simple "Hey there!" on Shane's end the rest is history. Some of you may know, I have a side gig with the FBI so I quickly gathered Shane's entire life story before we even exchanged numbers that day. After some initial hesitation and panic and overthinking, four hours of chatting later and I sent a text to my friend Millie that said "I THINK HE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE". I was right :) We will spare you the sappy details, but long story short, we instantly connected. I was at a point in my life where I wasn't messing around and asked all the hard questions and laid everything out on the table from the beginning. Shane passed all the tests. Between our shared love of Minnesota sports, antique stores, mini-golf, animals, concerts and road trips - our relationship quickly grew. I knew I wanted to be his (last...) wife when he told me his favorite book growing up was Little House on the Prairie.

Shane pulled off the most amazing surprise engagement party for me last June. I might have to rethink my FBI career. He and Keirsten worked with our dear friends Brittany and Nathan to coordinate an ambush at Lake Louise State Park. I had a feeling things were fishy that morning but did NOT expect Brittany and Nathan to be there photographing from the bushes. Then the biggest surprise of my entire life was his ability to get all of my friends and family to Forager afterwards for a party. I still can't get over the feeling of walking through their back door and seeing nearly everyone I loved in one place. Such a special day!

We are so grateful to get the chance to celebrate our love, goofiness and friendship with all of you. #MakeMeAMickle!
