On a rainy February afternoon back in 2018, Carly ventured out in New York City to join her college friend (SHOUT OUT Claire) at the local neighborhood bar. Little did Carly know, this would be the day she first crossed paths with Chris, who just happens to be Claire’s hometown friend.

The two instantly connected, ending the night with Chris playfully joking around with her about her profession as a teacher as he shouted “Line ‘em up!” across the bar to line up her imaginary group of students. She couldn’t help but laugh at his silly nature. Despite the friendly connection, the two went their separate ways not knowing what the future would hold.

Fast forward a couple months, Chris finally worked up the courage to reach out to her. Their first date unfolded in New York City at a private rooftop event (Thanks Marci!), where they found themselves immersed in conversation and laughter while watching the sunset across the city skyline. It was clear that NYC would become the canvas for the beginning of their love story.
