In July 2020, Hunter invited me to go camping with his family, and I happily said yes. My dad, Randy, had always told me to wait until college to start dating seriously, so Hunter and I agreed to take it slow. On August 21, the day we both headed off to college, we made it official and started dating.

Hunter was in his second year at NDSCS, and I was just beginning my college journey. After three months of dating, we decided to take another big step and moved into an apartment in Wahpeton. In 2022, we both graduated from NDSCS and moved back home, staying with Hunter's parents for a while. During that time, we made a big decision to add an 8-week-old Golden Retriever to our family, and Milo became a beloved part of our lives (thanks, Joe!).

At the beginning of 2023, we moved into a trailer and started building our first home together. It felt like everything was falling into place, and each step we took brought us closer.

Then, on Christmas Day 2023, while we were opening gifts, I reached the last one, a small box. Inside, there was a piece of paper with the words, "Will you marry me?" written on it. I couldn’t hold back the tears, and without a second thought, I said yes. It was the perfect moment to start the next chapter of our lives together, and we can't wait to celebrate this exciting new chapter with everyone.
