Our Wedding

All Thanks to Bumble… 🐝

In 2018, Carly was sitting in her apartment in Arlington, Virginia and Sean was sitting in his house in Northeast DC. They came across each other on an dating app and decided they would strike up a conversation. They were quickly planning their first date and ended up having dinner on a rooftop on a chilly October night. From then on, they kept talking, going on dates, meeting after work and class and 2 months later, Sean asked Carly to be his girlfriend 🤍

How We Met 

Throughout the years, traveling has been one of our most favorite things to do together. We love to rent cabins in the woods and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the city. We made it a tradition early on in our relationship to go away for our anniversary and just enjoy being with each other. Our dog, Gus always joins us and LOVES his time in the woods and enjoys the car rides even more. We love exploring the towns around DC 🍂

Exploring Together 

In 2021 we moved in together! Gus was so happy to have his Mom and Dad in one place and Sean quickly got used to Carly’s crazy decorating habits and weird recipes and Carly quickly understood that Italian soccer games happen quite early in the morning! A home should be a sanctuary and it is everything and more to us! 🏡

Our Home 

One of our favorite places is the beach! Sean plans a beach trip for Carly’s birthday every year. Rehoboth Beach is such a special place and Carly used to go here as a little girl growing up. Now we have made memories here together! 🏖️

Our Favorite Place 

On February 26th 2024, Sean took Carly to see the sunset at Rock Creek Park. He drove up to her favorite tree in the park, engraved with couples initials that go all the way up the tree. Sean got down on one knee and asked Carly to marry him! 💍

The Walters Art Museum 

Enjoy the place where Sean proposed! This park is almost 3 miles of peace and beauty inside of a busy city. This is one of our favorite pockets of peace!

Rock Creek Park

We love to spend time exploring our favorite city. Take a walk down the mall, get some snacks from the food trucks and explore all the history DC has to offer! Seans favorite is the Lincoln Memorial :)

National Mall

We love to grab lunch on the Waterfront in Georgetown. Bring a jacket because it might be chilly! Enjoy walking around Georgetown, and dont forget to grab a Baked and Wired cupcake :)
