when a very important person in our story, Daniel's twin sister Hanna, asked Carly if her brother could come to a show one night in 2019 with her after work. We had heard about each other via Hanna for awhile, but never crossed paths before that night. It was a casual meet-cute in a basement bar in Brooklyn that didn't lead to anything initially. Fast forward to January 2020, we had a friends birthday party where Hanna brought Daniel along and yet again, another meet-cute on the dance floor. Then the world shut down, Carly moved to Colorado, and Daniel and her reconnected when she came home for Christmas break. Our first official date was the day after Christmas 2020, Daniel had the whole day planned out as he drove them around Brooklyn on a vespa, giving a "Greenfield tour" of his favorite parts of the city- it was probably the best date ever they both recalled, and then the story of Carly and Daniel, together, began.

We have roadtripped across America together and traveled abroad together; we have laughed, cried, learned, and grown together over the years, always listening and respecting each other for who we are as individuals, and fallen more deeply in love with every ice bath we take.
