Our Wedding

Ryan and I first met in the spring of my freshman year and his junior year (2021) at St. Ambrose University. Our interaction only lasted a few minutes while out with friends, and it would take two more years before we officially reconnected during Ryan’s final semester at St. Ambrose University. Our first date took place at the Panera Bread on Kimberly Rd in Davenport, IA. We talked for only a week before Ryan asked me to be his girlfriend (for a second time after I said “let’s wait a bit” haha!) on April 10th, 2023. We spent every day of those last two months of that school year together, making the most of our time before we started long distance in the summer of 2023.     While Ryan started his new job as the aquatics director at the YMCA in Waukee, IA, I returned home to Cedar Rapids, IA to start my job as a nurse intern and continued working as a patient care technician at Mercy Medical Center. That summer, we each took multiple trips to visit one another, which made a summer of long distance more bearable. That fall, I completed my final semester of nursing school and had my heart set on moving out of state for my first job as a nurse. Ultimately, I decided to stay close to home and moved to West Des Moines, IA to be with Ryan.     I moved in with Ryan in February 2024 and we have lived in West Des Moines ever since. We just recently got our first puppy, Baloo, and have enjoyed learning to raise him together.     We are so excited for you to join us in celebrating our wedding in a place so close to where we first met in college. Thank you so much for your support during this exciting time!
