We swiped right on Tinder in January 2021—Joey gave Carly a super-like, and Carly decided to take the first step and send the first message (a cheesy and clever pickup line of course.) From there, it was all smooth sailing. Our first date was at Southern Cross Kitchen in Conshohocken, where we instantly hit it off over drinks, fried pickles, and mac & cheese. We couldn’t help but laugh in the following days as we discovered our families had known each other in the past—it felt like fate!

It didn’t take long for us to become inseparable. We spent birthdays, holidays, and countless weekends laughing until our cheeks hurt, and experiencing life together. Even before we moved in together, Carly decided it was time to add a furry friend to our family, and with Joey's approval, our cat Fiona came into our lives—bringing her own kind of chaos and joy.

From themed parties to over-the-top Halloween costumes, we quickly learned we matched each other’s energy in the best way possible. Our bond grew stronger with each passing day, and before we knew it, we were making more memories than we could count.

In December 2024, Joey took the next big step—proposing to Carly at Longwood Gardens, under the Temple of Love, on a cold Friday the 13th. Surrounded by the glow of Christmas lights, it was the perfect mix of jolly and spooky, and of course, it was an easy yes.

Our relationship has been a whirlwind of love, laughter, and adventure—from our home in Conshohocken to Georgia to South Africa, Mexico, and beyond we continue to build a life full of fun and meaning.
