The Story of Carly & Hannah

Carly and Hannah’s love story began on June 13, 2021, when they were introduced through mutual friends (IYKYK). From the very first conversation, the spark was undeniable — something just clicked. They met in person on June 30th, and it was love at first sight. By July 1st, they were officially together, both already knowing deep down: this was something special.The first two years of their relationship were long-distance — Hannah lived in Lubbock, and Carly was in the Austin area. It wasn’t easy. Sometimes they’d go months without seeing each other, relying on FaceTime calls, surprise visits, and unwavering love to stay connected. One of their favorite early memories? When Hannah told Carly she was busy helping a friend move… but was actually driving hours to surprise her. Within five minutes of showing up, Hannah blurted out “I love you” — and both of them erupted in laughter. That moment said it all.In May 2023, they finally closed the distance when Hannah moved to Austin. Since then, life together has been full of laughter, late-night talks, cozy routines, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with four amazing dogs who keep them on their toes.Carly is a passionate and talented figure skater, and Hannah has become her biggest fan — traveling across the country just to cheer her on. (Hannah’s own skating skills are… let’s just say best left off the ice.) Meanwhile, Hannah is a devoted teacher, and Carly is her behind-the-scenes MVP — setting up classrooms, helping brainstorm creative lessons, and listening to every wild and wonderful school story with endless support.They got engaged on December 24th, 2023, during a Christmas cruise with both of their families. During what was supposed to be a casual group photo on a beautiful staircase, Hannah’s heart was pounding as she dropped to one knee — and Carly was thinking, “It’s about time!” It was the easiest “yes” she’s ever said.Over the years, Carly and Hannah have shared adventures big and small — cooking, painting, gaming, and traveling to new places every chance they get. One of their favorite memories was their spring break cruise in March 2025 — their first big solo trip. Between incredible food, ocean views, inside jokes, and starting their very first art collection (fancy, right?), it was a trip full of magic and connection that brought them even closer.At the heart of it all, Carly and Hannah are best friends and soulmates. They make each other laugh like no one else, know just how to lift each other up, and are always ready with a silly reference or perfectly timed “recharge hug” after a long day. Their love is easy even when life isn’t — full of balance, kindness, communication, and the kind of joy that only grows with time. They can’t wait to start this next chapter, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.

Emma and Carly have known each other for over 20 years. Emma is currently living in Seattle, Washington but is so excited to come back to Texas to see her best friend get married.

Maddie and Carly grew up skating together. Maddie recently moved back to the Austin area after graduating college, and it's like they never skipped a beat.
