Our Story

Noah and I met the summer after my senior year of college.

A few of my teammates and I went to visit one of our friends, Landon Jones, from our Georgia Southern volleyball team. She had invited us to Savannah to stay with her at her families beach house for the weekend.

That weekend Landon invited a few of her hometown friends to come hang out with us. In walked Noah and his best friend from home, Bailey. We all had a great time but nothing came from the initial time we met.

A few months later, I was back living and working in Austin. I got a call from a Savannah, Georgia number and had no idea who it was. The call was followed up with a text from Noah saying that he was coming to town to visit a few friends and that we should hang out while he is in Austin.

I drug my friend Avery with me to go meet up with Noah one day. We proceeded to hang out that evening and the whole next day. Noah made me laugh all weekend long and I knew he was someone special. By the end of his visit, he had invited me to go to Savannah to see him for New Year’s. I took the leap of faith and flew out to Savannah for New Year’s. I met a bunch of his family and friends and we had the best time. On my last day of the trip we were at an Irish pub, McDonough's, where he asked me to be his girlfriend. It was not the karaoke he performed that night that sealed the deal, haha. But, it was the way that he treated me like I was the most important girl in the world and already loved me so well.

After that weekend, Noah booked a flight to come meet my entire big crazy family in Austin. He was greeted with margaritas and chaos and he immediately fit right in.

We did long distance as Noah went to play his 5th year of football at Holy Cross. Shortly after Noah finished playing his final year of football, he moved to Austin.

Three and a half years later in July, Noah got down on one knee and proposed at our favorite winery, Williams Chris Vineyard. It was by far the easiest and most anticipated “Yes” of my life.

Noah is the man I prayed for my whole life and I feel so blessed that I get to be his wife.

We cannot wait for our next chapter together and are so excited to be surrounded by all the people we love as we say “I do”!
