Our Wedding

Ethan and Carly met at a wedding where Ethan was the best man and Carly was filling in as a date for their mutual friend Jacob Neiman. The two first crossed paths while grabbing drinks at the wedding’s bar and it was love at first sight. But soon after meeting, the two went their separate ways and almost thought they’d never see each other again! The rest of that evening, Carly made efforts to track down information from anyone that knew more about the handsome best man with the fantastic beard. Their mutual friend Colton Brown knew exactly who Carly was asking about and insisted that he thought they’d be a perfect match and couldn’t believe he hadn’t thought of pairing them together sooner! The following day, Carly and Ethan began getting in touch with each other and hit it off ever since. Their first date was in November 2018. The two started officially dating when Ethan asked her to be his girlfriend in December 2018. They both said “I love you” for the first time on New Year’s Eve of 2018 as they rang in the new year into 2019. They moved in to their first apartment together in July of 2020. They adopted their first cat together, Meadow, in October 2021, to add to their already existing individual cats, Nimbus (Carly) and Cadence (Ethan). In May of 2022, Carly graduated from the Omaha School of Massage Therapy with a diploma in Therapeutic Massage, and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Nebraska. In 2023 Ethan started his journey in the medical world by landing a job at Nebraska Medicine and began his schooling program to attain his future goal in Nursing. This brings us to their engagement story. On November 18th, 2023, Ethan successfully surprised Carly with a proposal to marry him and she said she ”YES” through many happy tears. We are so excited to share our special day with you all and can’t wait to see your faces.
