"This beautiful chapel was built in 1884 and named after the Hebrew word “Shalom” (or Salem) which means Peace. It is believed that the name was chosen after the battle of Sailor’s Creek that followed the end of the Civil War. The ceremony will take place in the venues recently renovated chapel with the cocktail hour & reception to follow in the ballroom attached to the building.
